Added since last report:     7.00 yards
Added Year to Date:         71.17 yards
Net Used for 2013:            - 10.17 yards

I did add seven yards of background fabrics for "Lollipop Trees" by Kim McClean. Having a problem holding off starting the quilt because there are other projects to finish first but I couldn't resist purchasing the background fabrics. I love to do needle-turn hand applique but may just do invisible machine applique on this one.

There are no finished projects to report. Have been cutting "Talkin' Turkey" by Bonnie Hunter. This is a project that I plan to work on at retreat. Also, trying to have several other projects cut out and ready to go. After all, need to make sure I do not run out of things to do at retreat!! LOL Seems like I always have way more projects with then I need.

It is snowing in Minnesota and is so pretty - especially since this snow will not last. Here is a view off my front porch on this wonderful Sunday, October 20th.

Thank you for stopping by and make sure you hop over to Patchwork Times and see what others are doing.

  1. Wow - snowing already??? I hear such wonderful things about Minnesota, but that alone would keep me out LOL!!! It sure is beautiful though. We sometimes don't get even one good snow per winter. Hopefully we'll get at least one this year.

What did you get for your background on Lollipop Trees? The quilt is wonderful! But it is pretty busy too... did you get a solid or white-on-white? Or maybe something with a small dot? Or something bold and snazzy like the quilt? Inquiring minds want to know!!! If you can, show us a picture on your next post :*)

    1. One thing you usually count on in Minnesota is snow. Relatives in Alaska haven't even had snow yet and they let me know!! LOL. But I love the snow. It just gets to be a long winter sometimes.

I bought four pastels of Kona cotton for the backgrounds of Lollipop green: soft yellow, green, blue and pink. That should keep it from appearing too busy. I have seen Lollipop Trees done with just one background of cream fabric but thought it was a little boring. The pattern does show four backgrounds. I'll try to post a picture of the fabrics but pastels do not always photo nicely.

      Hugs,
