At Gruber's Quilt Shop in Waite Park (suburb of St. Cloud), Minnesota, there is open sewing on the third Monday of each month. Today was one of those fun days of sewing when we not only had a great time visiting, eating lunch, and sewing but Teresa of Gruber's gave us a challenge. The shop supplied the fabric to make a "Ten-Minute Table Runner" if we were willing to be timed to see how long it actually took us to sew one of the table runners. Well, my friend Maureen finished first at twelve minutes. There were six of us that had taken up the challenge.

Everyone had a fun day but here they are looking all together too serious!! LOL Can't let that happen for long!
Hope you all had as fun a day as I did.
Hugs, Beth
I've seen those runners - they are so cute and so easy!!!
ReplyDeleteI have several of these runners. Because there is so little work in them, I don't feel bad at all if they get slopped all over!! My boys ( 74 & 44 years) are sometimes a little sloppy! LOL
DeleteWhat great Halloween fabrics and all of your table runners look very successful, good job!
ReplyDeleteIt was a blast to have this contest. Maureen still beat me, even though I sew very fast!! LOL We all had a good time and the fabrics were fun.
DeleteIt looks like such fun....love the fabrics!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda,
DeleteYes, it was fun!! Can you tell that there is a little bit of competitive spirit among us!! LOL Now I have a Halloween runner out of the deal as well.
Hugs,
