Stash Report

Used since last report:        0.00 yards
Used year to Date:             61.00 yards
Added since last report:     4.50 yards
Added Year to Date:          91.17 yards
Net Used for 2013:           - 30.17 yards

For the last week, we were grand-doggy sitting. Zoe, our daughter Brenda's dog, shadowed me the entire week. I couldn't get her to stay in just one spot in the sewing room, so I couldn't get a lot done. At least that is my excuse for lack of progress! LOL

Another week of enhancing the stash. Two of the yards that I purchased are for an in process quilt project. The bottom fabric in the picture below is perfect to go with the machine embroidered blocks I did this summer. There are still some more blocks to embroider. Also, I have been sorting through the stash for fabrics that coordinate with both the blocks and the fabric for the quilt. The top fabrics are neutrals that are always useful.

Looking forward to this years Quiltville Mystery. Have managed to pull all of the colors for "Celtic Solstice" mystery by Bonnie Hunter (see: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/p/celtic-solstice-mystery.html ). So far it appears that I have everything needed in my stash, so should not have to purchase anything!! Guess, we'll have to wait and see. LOL

The "boys" have been out deer hunting. Hubby shot two last night. We really miss it if we have no venison. Since the deer in the area feed on soy beans and corn, it is very good meat with hardly any wild taste.

Thank you for stopping by and make sure you hop over to Patchwork Times and see what others are doing.

    1. The embroidered blocks have been fun and a learning experience.
I am so impatient waiting for the mystery to start. Looking forward to seeing what you and others do. Are you going to sew on a vintage machine?

I love picking up neutrals - they are so useful and are never wasted :) I really need to get in the stash and pull fabrics for the mystery but just haven't found time yet. Maybe if I get off the computer....? LOL!!!

    1. Teresa, I can seriously relate to having to get off the computer!! It is amazing how time flies when looking at what everyone is doing. LOL Can't wait for the mystery to start --- It is amazing how many neutrals have been utilized for all of the scrap quilts and I still have a lot but always am picking up more.

  3. Your embroidered blocks are so pretty and that fabric goes very well indeed. Look at you and your perfect stash colors for Bonnie's mystery. I haven't pulled any, but will probably break down and do it again too. I love a mystery - in books and quilting patterns too.

    1. Don't know about the perfect stash colors but I do like them. They are mostly tone-on-tone, not prints. Haven't pulled neutrals until I am ready to start using them. I was so glad to find the fabric to go with my embroidered blocks because it had hints of the thread colors. At first I only purchased a FQ so I had to go back and buy more fabric. Such are the hardships of a quilter!!! LOL Visit a quilt shop again??
