It is amazing that a person is able to use 15 yards of fabric out of the stash and it makes absolutely no dent!!!! I finished 14 pillowcases for a service project in our guild and used 15 yards of fabric that had originally been planned for a quilt. Since I knew that the quilt was never going to be made (not the style of fabric I normally buy), it was time to make something else and get it out of the stash. Bet no one else ever has that issue. LOL Do you wonder -- What was I thinking when I bought that fabric??
Also donated 2.25 yards to Goodwill.
How many years before I actually see a reduction in stash?? Course the house is well insulated with all that fabric!! I am doing my part to keep heating/cooling expenses down. Grin, grin!!

Wow - that's a lot of pillowcases - very pretty! Great numbers, too!
ReplyDeleteYes, I do think that from time to time when looking through my stash - lol.
Creative way to get rid of the stash. All that fabric made very pretty pillow cases.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! Great way to cut fabrics out of the stash to make room for more that you like better! And I love making pillow cases - they're just plain fun! A quick project with the quick gratification of a finish :*)
ReplyDeletePillowcases are the perfect project for the fabric that no longer inspires you. Great service project. They look great. Thanks for sharing.
